How to produce Glass:
Smelt sand at the Ore Redemption Machine, or the Mining furnace.
Or smelt Glass shards with a Welding Tool to reform them into Glass sheets.

Use rods

Print Plasma + Glass alloy from cargo, engineering or science protolathe/techfab.
How to produce Reinforced Plasma Glass:
Use rods on plasma glass.
Plasteel is an alloy of plasma and iron.
